1st Tour
500 Years of the Joordan
Starting our journey at the Anne Frank House we cross to the 17th century gothic style Westerkerk (Western Church) where Rembrandt and his son are buried to photograph the highest clock tower in Amsterdam . The a stroll through the Jordaan created in the 17th century for the workers. At the end of the 17th century many French fled to live here afeter the revocation fo the Edit de Nantes. The name comes from the French word Jardin or Garden and the streets and the canals are named after flowers. They are now colorfull warehouses that have been converted into homes for students, artists and professionals. We then head over to Westerstraat Market the big outdoor flea and food market market, to photograph people and objects and if time why not have have a cup of cofee in a cafe and enjoy some dutch apple pie. We then step back 500 years to visit the beautifull little houses called Hofjes,
built in the 14th and 15th century by rich people for poor widowers of sailors and named after the benefactor. We then proceed past Fortress of Sjako, home to the Robin Hood of Amsterdam in 1717 and onward to the The Nine Streets to photograph its small shops and stylish boutiques. We conclude at the Royal Palace at Dam Square and photograph the marvellous Atlas placed ontop of the building facade.

• We reserve the right to change the route based on local conditions.
• Tours leave rain or shine. In extreme conditions please call the local number.
• We suggest good walking shoes, a lightweight poncho, in case it rains and in high temperatures a small bottle of water & sun hat.
• A lightweight tripod is recommended for evening sessions

Amsterdam and Windmills
We start our adventure at the American Hotel, then onto the boat pass canal houses, Anne Frank's House, Westerkark Church before we arrive at the Noordermarkt farmers market to buy cheese bread, beer or wine for lunch. No boat trip without food and drinks. We walk a little through the Jordaan to photograph and then back on the boat. We will see the old and new Amsterdam houses with it eclectic skylines just as the buildings of the old city. We cruise past the Harbour and along the Amstel passing the Maritime Museum and the Newly consturcted Hermitage Museum. Further on we pass the old famous19th century Royal Theatre Carre and old locks and houseboats until we reach the outskirts of Amsterdam to discover teh typical dutch windmills near Amstelveen where Rembrandt used to paint. Here you will get off the boat and photograph the windmill and statue of Rembrandt before a coffee break. If the wether is nice we can walk through the park and practice marco photography. Afterwards we return to American Hotel via another canal passing a few Red Light houses and Rijks Museum
