About the photographer

Tim Vollmer

Tim Vollmer is originally from Germany and after extensive traveling he settled in Iceland to make a career out of his hobby and passion: photography. He specializes in all aspects of photography, including landscapes, architecture, portraits, nature (particularly birds), and travel. He knows the extraordinary landscapes of Iceland intimately and is the ultimate combination of photographer, artist, guide and coach.

The Thingvellir National Park is situated on the northern coast of lake Thingvallavatn and famous for its lava fissures and extraordinary landscapes. The lava scarred Reykjanes peninsula lies on one of the world’s major plate boundaries, with the geothermal area of Nesjavellir hot springs, lake Thingvallavatn and the Sog river.  This is a not-to-miss opportunity for Nature lovers.

Photograph spectacular scenery at the Thingvellir National Park situated on the northern coast of lake Thingvallavatn.  Walk around the fissures surrounding the Almannagjá canyon with its waterfall Öxárafoss and the Haukadal valley's  Strokkur Geyser. Capture the Gullfoss waterfall famous for it's unusual geological shape.

6 DAY/ 5 NIGHT EXCLUSIVE TOUR

Photograph the most extraordinary sites in Southern Iceland: magnificent waterfalls, thundering geysers, out-of-this world scenery, icebergs, wildlife, thermal blue lagoons, and much more. From Reykjavik to  Höfn, & the Vatnajökull glacier, from the Jökulsárlón lagoon  to the Skaftafell National Park and the quaint town  of Vík - you will photograph huge basalt columns and the famous waterfall of Gullfoss. Then walk through the National Park Ţingvellir on the Reykjanes peninsula, with a swim in the Blue Lagoon - all this while meeting the locals and dining on Iceland's cusine.

• Participants must have a basic knowledge of their cameras, digital or film.
• We reserve the right to change the route based on local conditions.
• Tours leave rain or shine.  In extreme conditions please call the local number.
• We suggest good walking shoes, a lightweight rain poncho, a small bottle of water & sun hat.
• A lightweight tripod, or a table-top tripod is recommended for evening sessions.
• Clients who have not booked this tour in conjunction with a hotel are asked to provide contact details.
• Entrance fees not included in price.
